OUR PORTFOLIO

We design and build custom exterior spaces, partnering old-world stone masonry with native-inspired plantings.

ELEGANCE.

A rule. Hard and fast, and never broken. We believe in quality, in craftsmanship, and when the small details come together to take something from acceptable to exceptional.

Project: Boonsboro Outdoor Living

This large family needed a space that worked for everyone. We created an easy transition from an older patio to a new patio and matched the existing stonework. A hedge of lavender and the client’s furniture made this truly an oasis for all.

Project: La Vida Coffee Bar

A damaged and empty parking lot once greeted customers to this commercial business. The client found expensive concrete pavers, but we found (and price matched) a natural marble that brought the beautiful color and interest to this patio. We built and then painstakingly matched the stucco on the new six foot walls to the original building’s covering. Installing a historic door was the final touch.

Project: Boonsboro Terrace

Dry-stack stonewalls brought exquisite craftsmanship to this outdoor living area designed by architect Elizabeth Delaney. Dry-stack stone columns flank each entrance and natural bluestone patios and walkways bring clean, modern lines to a lush garden. Tucked just off Rivermont Avenue, you might never realize you’re in the city.

Project: Mountainside Millstone

This mountainous property included a damaged fireplace and historic cabin foundation, which these clients hoped to renovate into an outdoor entertaining space. We made a plan to renovate the space, then repaired the retaining wall and base layer and installed a natural flagstone patio. With some creative maneuvering, historic stone crown molding and a millstone were set as a large dining table.

Project: Staunton Outdoor Living

When clients entertain often, an outdoor kitchen with an open floor plan and large fireplace are in order. We paired a natural stone veneer with a modern fireplace shape to bring simple elegance to the space. A leftover stone slab became a custom dining table to finish this entertaining space.
