OUR MANIFESTO
Our thoughtful approach allows us to work with the existing landscape, allowing natural elements to shine.
Unique projects for unique people
Do you feel like some contractors don’t get it?
We’ve been on that side, too.
Contractors rushing through, missing the details—and doing the bare minimum.
Listening is our best skill, just above creativity. We take time to understand how you want to use your space, what excites you (and what doesn’t). Paired with our craftsmanship, that attention means you’ll end up with a space that feels entirely your own — one you’ll love in every detail.
We’re Lindsey & Corey,
Our love of unique outdoor spaces began when we built our first home together. We dreamed up oversized fireplaces and beautiful patios—our friends pitching in to help us build it all into reality. Our workdays turned into card games and straight-from-the-garden dinners, and we always ended up gathered around a fire.
As construction wrapped up, our tradition of easy, casual gathering continued—dirt just barely scrubbed from our fingernails, we threw linen tablecloths over old oak tables and gathered as many friends as we could fit.
We fell in love with the understanding that special spaces bring people together, which brings out the best in all of us. In contrast to our quick and fast world, we wanted places where people could linger.
We followed that spark. What started as small, nature-inspired spaces for ourselves grew into larger projects for clients who share our love of gathering, comfort, and craft. We still treat each undertaking with the care and attention we would our own—because each space should feel as unique as the people who live there.
We cannot wait to help you create a place that becomes home.
Our Story (the long version)
When we first set out together, we dreamed of finding a home with history — something we could restore and make our own. A realtor friend introduced Corey to an abandoned chestnut oak log cabin on eleven acres, just a few miles outside a small Virginia town.
It was whimsical and roughly charming… but in need of a lot of work. Invasive vines and stilt grass smothered the grounds, moss crept across the logs, and an old driveway was barely visible through the weeds.
Still, we could see what it might become. Together, we rebuilt and restored both the house and the land. We brought in log-cabin experts for chinking, tapped a nearby spring, planted native species, and—naturally—built more than one fire pit.
Our small clearing in the forest transformed into a wildlife haven. Turtles, frogs, and butterflies appeared by the hundreds. Foxes came curious, Barred owls kept watch, deer and groundhogs wandered through, and one very large bear made occasional visits.
It was a labor of love, and it became the place we most wanted to be. A pavilion with long tables and crowded gatherings, a hammock for daydreaming, gardens that drew us into the wonder of nature. Our home became a balance of comfort and curiosity — crafted mostly with a shovel and a saw.
Our idea of home was too special not to share, and it became our life’s work: creating spaces for others that offer calm and beauty, rooted in craft and alive with nature, respites within this wild world.
